Conflict management coaching that gets to conflict before it’s a crisis
Improve communication, build capability, and keep workplaces running with proactive conflict coaching.
Conflict is brewing, and you need someone who gets it
Good leaders don’t ignore conflict on purpose.
They just don’t have the time, appetite, or internal resources to do it justice. HR’s stretched thin, and supervisors aren’t trained in navigating people problems whilst juggling the safe and timely delivery of their work scope.
A quick chat happens, but nothing gets fixed. And when conflict isn’t handled early or well, it festers — or blows up. Early, proactive action through conflict management coaching can keep your workers psychologically safe and help you meet your positive duty obligations.
As an independent CINERGY® conflict coach, my only agenda is to help your team resolve the conflict properly. I bring structured support, grounded expertise, and the capacity your team doesn’t have right now.
and prevents minor issues from spiralling into psychological safety breaches, walkouts, or Fair Work claims.
supports employees who feel unheardConflict coaching helps build leaders’ conflict resolution capabilities,
Conflict coaching that prioritises people, not just processes
For organisations that want to
handle disputes proactivelyI show leaders how to:
Build practical skills in managing conflict early
Have brave conversations that address issues, not bury them
Create communication structures that prevent tension from festering
Understand their obligations around both psychosocial and psychological safety
Develop confidence in handling people issues, not just technical ones
Best for you if:
You’ve promoted people for technical skills who now need people skills.
You’re seeing patterns of unresolved tension affecting morale and productivity.
You want to preempt issues before they escalate to Fair Work or legal claims.
Your supervisors and managers don’t have time (or the appetite) to deal with conflict properly.
You want to build a high-trust workplace culture, not just tick compliance boxes.
For individuals
navigating workplace tensionYou get a confidential space to:
Talk through what’s happening without judgement
Understand the situation clearly and what’s really driving it
Explore your options and what outcomes you’re actually looking for
Prepare for difficult conversations with confidence
Navigate workplace processes when you’re not getting support from HR or unions
Best for you if:
You’re trying to resolve an issue at work but hitting a wall.
You need advice on how to approach a difficult conversation.
You want someone with real experience in male-dominated industries in your corner (because I’ve been where you are now).
You’re feeling stuck and need clarity on your next steps.
Your path to psychological safety
The structured CINERGY® conflict coaching process balances fairness, practicality, and long-term impact.
-
You reach out because you’ve got a conflict brewing or you want to prevent one. In an initial meeting, you’ll brief me on what’s happening, the people involved, and the solutions you’ve already tried.
-
I have confidential sessions with the employees involved to understand what really happened or is happening. Then I’ll provide you with clear recommendations on what’s driving the conflict and how to address it.
-
We work together to implement the recommendations and check in with the employees involved to confirm that the plan works in practice. I’ll work with supervisors, managers, and/or the HR team to build their skills in managing conflict, having brave conversations, and resolving issues early.
-
I check in a few weeks later to make sure the recommendations are sticking and to see if psychological safety is improving.
I’m Sarah Hamilton,
your conflict specialist
With more than two decades in HR, ER and IR across construction, manufacturing, and heavy industry, I know conflict is a daily reality. I get the pressures, culture, and power dynamics you face.
I’ve rebuilt broken teams, navigated union-heavy environments, and supported people in impossible situations. I’ve even been on the receiving end of a system that didn’t have my back and had two choices: accept the toxic culture or speak up. I spoke up.
So my approach to conflict coaching isn’t just professional, it’s personal. I’ve gone through it, so I’m passionate about making sure no one is dismissed, sidelined, or left unprotected when conflict gets hard.

Conflict coaching is a structured, impartial service that helps organisations and individuals proactively manage disputes, prevent escalation, and restore trust in the workplace.
It equips leaders with the skills to handle conflict and provides guidance and advocacy for employees when internal support is lacking.
-
Mediation and conciliation bring together two or more parties to resolve a specific dispute. Conflict coaching is one-on-one support that helps someone prepare for, navigate, or resolve conflict independently.
Conflict coaching is the support you need before (or instead of) mediation. It helps build leaders’ conflict-resolution skills, supports employees through difficult issues, and prevents minor problems from becoming major crises.

The CINERGY® model is a recognised, accredited framework for conflict coaching. It ensures I’m following professional standards and best practices as I help you navigate workplace conflict.

Conflict coaching is for organisations that want to maintain psychological safety, protect culture and morale, and reduce the risk of escalation. It’s perfect for building your leadership’s capacity to manage conflict early, before it becomes a formal complaint or legal issue.
But it’s not just for organisations. Employees who need impartial guidance or advocacy when they lack support from management or unions can also reach out.
-
Absolutely. I offer conflict coaching to individuals and organisations across Australia, in person and via Microsoft Teams. I can also visit the site, as in-person support is so valuable.
